Wrong Color Scheme...

Sometimes you have all these colors playing in your head.  You see pictures and your eye is instantly captivated by an interesting color scheme.  That's what's happened to me recently.  All I see is purples and blues.  Not sure why...

I decided to try a new fragrance oil that I've had sitting on the shelf for some time: Lavender Martini.

Well I thought of Lavender and I though: "Purple".  So I decided to do a purple and pink color scheme.  Once again I decided to try the drop swirl technique.  In the past I have not been very successful with it but recently I have been getting the hand of it little by little.

Here are the final results:

Now...why I'm I complaining...well because I close my eyes and smell the bar and all I can think about is lemons...yes...lemons.  That's yellow...I close my eyes, and think yellow, and I open my eyes and I see purple and pink.

I check out the description of this fragrance oil and this is what I get:

lavender martini fragrance begins with top notes of tangy lemon zests, orange, and carbonation; followed by middle notes of spicy bergamot, mint, and lavender; sitting on a base note of rosewood.

Tangy Lemon Zest...this is a good lesson to learn next time I soap again.  Always double check the notes of the fragrance before you start to dream away...In the mean time.  Here is my purple lemon :)

Thanks for checking out my blog!  Happy Soaping!

Don't worry, it can happen to anyone! What about purple eucalyptus (when green turns into purple), or green lavender (when purple likes to go green)? Well, that happened to me, but the soaps were all used up,anyway! Your purple lemon looks fanatstic!
