Fun Soap!

Recently most of my soaps have been floral or fruity/tropical soaps.  I wanted to see if I could pull off a new "fun" soap.

I have been admiring some of the beautiful soaps that have all those colorful "soap balls".  I watched a couple of soaping videos and figured I would give it a try.  I had on hand a new fragrance from Nature's Garden called "Fruity Rings".  It's such a nice scent.  It brings back many childhood memories.  Here is the description:

the flavor of Fruit flavored rings cereal....Fruity Rings fragrance begins with top notes of lemon rinds, lime, and grapefruit; middle notes of lemongrass, lily, and verbena; and base notes of vanilla sugar.

I made my soap balls a couple of days ahead.  It was a little tricky to roll a perfect little ball, and realized later that I made them a bit too big.  Some where a little sticky and I had to make sure I wiped down my globed hands after each one.  It's a little tedious but the end result was worth it.

Here is my "Fun Fruity Soap"

Here are some pics

I need a little bit of more practiced trying to figure out where to position the little balls so that when I cut the bars there are more combinations of different colors.

Not bad for my first try with this kind of design!  The scent held up very well and it's just wonderful and fun!

I think for sure I will be making more little soap balls in the future!

Thanks for checking out my blog!
Happy Soaping :)

You can roll some cylinders instead of balls to make sure all your cut soaps have balls without risking cutting one too close to the ball edge (which results with ball falling off). That way you can position them the way you actually want.

    1. Thanks Maja! I never even thought of the cylinder trick. That's a good suggestion. I will try that next time :)

  5. I love it, Roxana! The colors are so cheerful, and it looks like such a fun soap. I did something similar a couple of weeks ago with a round tubular ice cube mold, laying the soap cylinders end-to-end like Maja is talking about. I really like how the soap balls look, too, though. Someday I'll have to try rolling my own CP soap balls, or get a couple more round ball silicone molds to make M&P embeds.
