During my last trip at Trader Joe's, when I found the Coconut Milk in the milk aisle, I also happen to find a bottle of Goats Milk . I snatched it off the shelf so fast! I was so excited. I finally have the opportunity try Goats Milk that is not in a can or powdered. I still have not been able to find a place near where I live where I can purchase fresh Goat Milk. Finding it in the milk aisle was the next best thing :)
I froze the milk and slowly stirred in the lye to dissolved it. For this recipe I used a combination of Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Soybean Oil, Palm, Castor and Cocoa Butter.
I wanted to make sure it would not gel on me since I wanted a creamy bar of soap so I stuck it in the fridge and froze it over night. It worked like a charm and when it was ready to unmold and cut I could not be any happier.
The fragrance came through very nicely and I can't wait to try it.
I am heading for a busy weekend. Mother's Day Weekend!

Beautiful colors! I´m glad to hear that you found goat milk. It is also difficult to find here in Finland. You´ll have to tell us what you think about the soap when it is cured.
ReplyDeleteThree shades of pink, lovely! I'm huge fan of pink soaps and this one turned out just great! What is this swirl technique?
ReplyDeleteJust the regular spoon swirl :)
