I tend to surf the Internet looking for inspiration and color palettes. I have my color wheel and it gets way from me. I also admire other people's soap and take note of their beautiful color schemes.
One of my favorite blogs is Shieh Design Studio. Emily is truly an artist and when I first started to soap I could not get enough of her blogs and videos. Here is a link to her blog:
Recently I have noticed a couple of color palettes that she displays in her Facebook as inspiration. I decided to Google the name of the palette and it was like I hit the lottery. It directed me to a palette blog named: Design-Seeds, created by Jessica.
Wow! I was certainly in heaven, my mind was running at all the color possibilities! and then I realised...I NEED MORE COLORS! LOL!!!
I am currently in love with this palette and I may try to see if I can pull it off :)

I also love Emily´s soaps. They are just wonderful! And she uses color combinations that I would have never thought of.
ReplyDeleteI've been fighting the "color rut" recently too...I think the need for more color is almost as bad as the need for more fragrances :P
ReplyDeleteI agree, Emily's soaps are just amazing! I also really appreciate how generous she is to share so much of her inspiration and techniques with us, Design Seeds is a definite treasure of inspiration.
ReplyDeleteEmily's soaps are gorgeous and inspiring. And thanks for sharing Design-Seeds' website! Looks like there are many great ideas to be found there.
ReplyDeleteEmily does have amazing soaps but you know, the rest of you ladies also make soaps that make my jaw drop each and every time. I'm glad you found some new inspiration tho, it's nice to have something that helps you go yeah that's what I'm going to do next.
ReplyDeleteI love Design Seeds and often find myself there when I am in a color rut. This palette is just perfect for the spring and you are going to have so much fun with it. =)
ReplyDeleteI tried this palette and I accidentally got carried away with my Titanium Dioxide! My colors were a bit too pale :o/
ReplyDeleteOh well! Thanks for checking out my blog!
