I smell Apple...Where is the Lavender?

I recently decided to try out a new fragrance:  Lavender Apple.

The vendor describes it as:
Lavender Apple fragrance starts with top notes of red delicious apple, raspberries, plum, and sugar; followed by middle notes of floral rosaceous green notes, lilac, pear, and eucalyptus; and sits on a powdery, woodsy musk base note

Now, I can definitely smell the apple, but as you can tell from the description...no lavender.  So much for fragrance names.  I need to pay closer attention to the fragrance descriptions:(

I must admit that it's an interesting scent...I bit of a spice to it.  More of a Fall selection scent to me and not so much Spring.  I did soap really nice.  I did not have any acceleration or problems with it and it did allow me to play with a swirl.  I had hoped to add some different types of colors on the top, but sadly my purple did not come through and the silver managed to blend in with the white.  I need to do more research on color management :)

Here are the final bars:

Not bad...I am pretty happy with it.

Thanks for checking out my blog!

HAPPY SOAPING!

  1. Those are great colors for an apple scent - perfect for spring! I like how the swirls turned out, too!

  2. I love how your swirls turned out, Roxana! The colors work well for the fragrance. It is strange that a scent would be called "Lavender Apple" when there's no lavender in it. It still sounds like a lovely scent, though - apple is always nice!

  3. Even though the scent wasn't what you expected, the design of your soap looks great. =)

  4. It's gorgeous Roxana! It is odd that the scent would have lavender in the name but not in the fragrance...the scent description does sound great though!

  6. I can't believe anything could call 'lavender', without having a hint of lavender. It's so weird! But,your soap isn't, on the contrary,it's lovely.
Ha,ha,if it had contained lavender, you would be saying now 'where's my purple?' Just kidding. It's a beautiful soap and if you like the scent the way it is, I think you can be perfectly happy!
