watermelon taffy fragrance begins with top notes of watermelon, lime, lemon, and bergamot; followed by middle notes of marigold, sweet, juicy melon; with base notes of white musk and vanilla.
It sounded pretty fun to me!
I decided to go with some really nice bright colors. This fragrance is suppose to discolor to a "tan" so I decided to use titanium dioxide for the base of the soap, and hopefully it will help the soap to not darken so much. Sadly it has already started to discolor, and instead of the nice ivory color I was hoping for, it's starting to go to a little medium beige.
It was such a well behaved fragrance, and it allowed me to play with my swirling. Here is a quick Vine video of when I cut the bars.
I am proud of my short little videos. I am quite camera shy and eventually will warm up to a full video...I promise.
Here are the final pics
It's interesting that it kind of looks like I have taken a piece of chalk and drew over the soap. The colors are certainly the nice bright colors I was hoping for. The fragrance is pretty strong and maybe next time I may use a little less. But I also need to see if some of it will fade.
Life has been hectic lately and I hope to make a batch of soap later today or tomorrow. My beautiful daughter, Sofia, just turned 2 yesterday! as you can imagine this past weekend was busy and not to mention that Father's Day was Sunday! The kids and I celebrated my wonderful husband!
I still owe some my soapy friends some soaps to test for me :). I promise to send it out early next week. I finally got them wrapped and labeled!!!
In the mean time, thanks for checking out my blog!!!
